Every week throughout this season, GoVols247’s Patrick Brown, Ryan Callahan, Ben McKee, Grant Ramey and Wes Rucker will make their predictions for the biggest games in college football — focusing on the Southeastern Conference and top-25 teams — and, of course, weigh in on how Tennessee will fare.
If you weren’t able to participate in our annual GoVols247 Pick ‘Em competition, which is already under way, feel free to post your own picks — or point out the flaws in the GoVols247 staff’s predictions — in the comments below this story.
Before we reveal our picks for Week 9, here’s a quick look at last week’s results:
WEEK 8 RESULTS
Patrick Brown 11-2
Wes Rucker 9-4
Ben McKee 8-5
Grant Ramey 7-6
Ryan Callahan 6-7
OVERALL RECORDS

Without further ado, it’s on with the picks, starting with Tennessee’s home game against Kentucky. It’s scheduled to kick off at 7 p.m. Eastern time Saturday at Neyland Stadium, and it will be televised nationally on ESPN.
The third-ranked Vols (7-0, 3-0 SEC) are coming off a 65-24 homecoming win over UT Martin last week, while the Wildcats (5-2, 2-2) had an open date last week coming off a 27-17 victory over Mississippi State on Oct. 15 that came after back-to-back losses to Ole Miss and South Carolina.
