A goal in the 44th minute by Michy Batshuayi proved the difference in this one. Canada had several chances but is still searching for its first-ever World Cup goal, and has now dropped to 0-4-0 all time in the tournament. A pivotal no-call of a potential Belgium penalty that would have netted Canada a penalty kick also drew criticism.
